KAITSU® D-108 is an essential component in ready-mixed concrete, as it can improve the properties
of concrete during the mixing and curing stages. KAITSU® D-108 conforms to ASTM C494 Type D.
One liter weigh approximately 1.12 kg ± 0.02kg.
Use
KAITSU® D-108 can be used in a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial,
and residential building, bridges, highways, roads and tunnels. KAITSU® D-108 also make it an ideal
choice for hot weather conditions, where traditional concrete mixtures may set too quickly.
Advantages
KAITSU® D-108 can provide the following properties:
- Increased compressive strength and flexural strength at all ages.
- Increased workability and slump retention ability of fresh concrete.
- Improved adhesion to reinforcing and stressing steel.
- Better resistance to carbonation.
- Lower permeability
- Better resistance to aggressive atmospheric conditions.
- Reduced shrinkage.
Dosage
KAITSU® D-108 can vary with type of applications, normally range from 200 g to 600 g / 100 kg of
cementitious material or binder. Accidental overdosing of KAITSU® D-108 causes an extension of
setting time of concrete. If this happens, consult supplier as soon as possible.

Application
KAITSU® D-108 is suitable for use with all types of Portland cements, OPC, SRC cements and cement
replacement materials such as PFA, GGBFS and micro-silica KAITSU® D-108 should not be used in
conjunction with any other admixture unless prior approval is obtained from local KAITSU technical
support.
Mixing
KAITSU® D-108 should be added in the mixing water. In some instances, e.g. addition to ready mix
concrete on site, KAITSU® D-108 can be added directly in the truck mixer and mixed at maximum
speed for an extra 5 to 10 minutes till a proper mixing is achieved. The correct quantity of KAITSU®
D-108 should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser. The admixture should then be
added to the concrete with the mixing water to obtain the best results.
Health and safety
KAITSU® D-108 does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should
not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and
goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with
