KAITSU® D-128 represents a new modified generation of polycarboxylate hyperplasticisers specifically
developed to achieve high performance concrete properties with long slump retention. KAITSU® D-128
conforms to ASTM C494 Type D & G.
One liter weigh approximately 1.047 kg ± 0.02kg.
Use
KAITSU® D-128 can be used in a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial,
and residential building, bridges, highways, roads and tunnels. KAITSU® D-128 also make it an ideal
choice for hot weather conditions, where traditional concrete mixtures may set too quickly.
Advantages
KAITSU® D-128 can provide the following properties:
- Lower permeability
- Increased early & ultimate strengths
- Increased flexural strengths.
- Better carbonation resistance.
- Reduced shrinkage & creep
- May produce flowing or self-compacting concrete
- High workability with low water content
- Improved surfaces
- Long Retention of concretes workability
- No segregation
Dosage
KAITSU® D-128 can vary with type of applications, normally range from 400 g to 1200 g / 100 kg of
cementitious material or binder. Accidental overdosing of KAITSU® D-128 causes an extension of
setting time of concrete. If this happens, consult supplier as soon as possible.
Packaging
200 Kg and 1,000 kg
Shelf life
12 months after production date, kept within the range of 5oc to 40oc.
Application
KAITSU® D-128 is suitable for use with all types of Portland cements, OPC, SRC cements and cement
replacement materials such as PFA, GGBFS and micro-silica KAITSU® D-128 should not be used in
conjunction with any other admixture unless prior approval is obtained from local KAITSU technical
support.
Mixing
KAITSU® D-128 should be added in the mixing water. In some instances, e.g. addition to ready mix
concrete on site, KAITSU® D-128 can be added directly in the truck mixer and mixed at maximum
speed for an extra 5 to 10 minutes till a proper mixing is achieved. The correct quantity of KAITSU®
D-128 should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser. The admixture should then be
added to the concrete with the mixing water to obtain the best results.
Health and safety
KAITSU® D-128 does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should
not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and
goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with
eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical
attention immediately – Do not induce vomiting.
