KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series represents a new modified generation of polycarboxylated hyperplasticisers specifically
\ndeveloped to achieve high performance concrete properties with long slump retention. KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series
\nconforms to ASTM C494 type A, BS 1881: Part 5 1970 and BS 5075 Part 1.
\nUse<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series can be used in a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial,
\nand residential building, bridges, highways, roads and tunnels. KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series also make it an ideal
\nchoice for hot weather conditions, where traditional concrete mixtures may set too quickly.
\nAdvantages<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series can provide the following properties:
\n\u2013 Lower permeability
\n\u2013 Increased early & ultimate strengths
\n\u2013 Increased flexural strengths.
\n\u2013 Better carbonation resistance.
\n\u2013 Reduced shrinkage & creep
\n\u2013 May produce flowing or self-compacting concrete
\n\u2013 High workability with low water content
\n\u2013 Improved surfaces
\n\u2013 Long Retention of concretes workability
\n\u2013 No segregation
\nDosage<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series can vary with type of applications, normally range from 300 g to 1500 g \/ 100 kg of
\ncementitious material or binder. Accidental overdosing of KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series causes an extension of
\nsetting time of concrete. If this happens, consult supplier as soon as possible.
\nPackaging<\/strong>
\n200 Kg and 1,000 kg
\nShelf life<\/strong>
\n12 months after production date, kept within the range of 5oc to 40oc.
\nApplication<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series is suitable for use with all types of Portland cements, OPC, SRC cements and cement
\nreplacement materials such as PFA, GGBFS and micro-silica KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series should not be used in
\nconjunction with any other admixture unless prior approval is obtained from local KAITSU technical
\nsupport.
\nMixing<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0D-100 Series should be added in the mixing water. In some instances, e.g. addition to ready mix
\nconcrete on site, KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series can be added directly in the truck mixer and mixed at maximum
\nspeed for an extra 5 to 10 minutes till a proper mixing is achieved. The correct quantity of KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup>
\nD-100 Series should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser. The admixture should then be
\nadded to the concrete with the mixing water to obtain the best results.
\nHealth and safety<\/strong>
\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should
\nnot be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and
\ngoggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with
\neyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical
\nattention immediately \u2013 Do not induce vomiting.

\nKAITSU\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0D-100 Series is Non-flammable.
\nCleaning and disposal<\/strong>
\nSpillages of KAITSU\u00ae<\/sup> W-400 Series should be absorbed onto sand or earth and transferred to suitable
\ncontainers. Remnants should be hosed down with large quantities of water. The disposal of excess
\nor waste material should be carried out in accordance with local legislation under the guidance of
