KAITSU® F-318 represents a new modified generation of polycarboxylated hyperplasticisers specifically
developed to achieve high performance concrete properties. KAITSU® F-318 conforms to ASTM C494
Type F.
One liter weigh approximately 1.02 kg ± 0.02kg.
Use
KAITSU® F-318 uses include to produce flowing concrete for large pours and precast elements. KAITSU®
F-318 may also be used where substantial water reductions are required to provide high early and ultimate
strengths e.g. in precast factories.
Advantages
KAITSU® F-318 can provide the following properties:
– Very good early strengths
– Significant strength increases
– Increased production in precast yards
– Better surface finish
– Waterproof concrete may be achieved
– Better resistance to wear & abrasion
– Chloride free
– Reduced shrinkage & creep
– Improved water borne salt resistance.
– No segregation
– Less vibration
– Better carbonation resistance.
Dosage
KAITSU® F-318 can vary with type of applications, normally range from 500 g to 1500 g / 100 kg of
cementitious material or binder. Accidental overdosing of KAITSU® F-318 causes an extension of
setting time of concrete. If this happens, consult supplier as soon as possible.
Packaging
200 Kg and 1,000 kg
Shelf life
12 months after production date, kept within the range of 5oc to 40oc.
Application
KAITSU® F-318 is suitable for use with all types of Portland cements, OPC, SRC cements and cement
replacement materials such as PFA, GGBFS and micro-silica KAITSU® F-318 should not be used in
conjunction with any other admixture unless prior approval is obtained from local KAITSU technical
support.
Mixing
KAITSU® F-318 should be added in the mixing water. In some instances, e.g. addition to ready mix
concrete on site, KAITSU® F-318 can be added directly in the truck mixer and mixed at maximum
speed for an extra 5 to 10 minutes till a proper mixing is achieved. The correct quantity of KAITSU®
F-318 should be measured by means of a recommended dispenser. The admixture should then be
added to the concrete with the mixing water to obtain the best results.
Health and safety
KAITSU® F-318 does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should
not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and
goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with
eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical
attention immediately – Do not induce vomiting.
*For further information consult the Materials Safety Data Sheet available for this product.
KAITSU® F-318 is Non-flammable.
Cleaning and disposal
Spillages of KAITSU® F-318 should be absorbed onto sand or earth and transferred to suitable
containers. Remnants should be hosed down with large quantities of water. The disposal of excess
or waste material should be carried out in accordance with local legislation under the guidance of
the local waste regulatory authority.
